Two teachers of Government Model Senior Secondary School (GMSSS) at Dadumajra were beaten up by parents and handed over to Police for allegedly molesting girl students. According to the parents, the two educators, namely Ashok Kumar (Political Science teacher) and Mukesh Kumar (Economics teacher), had been misbehaving with girl students of Class XII, since past few weeks. “The girls had complained that their teachers usually looked for excuses to touch them and also tried to hold their hands in class,” said the complainants.
“Following the repeated molestation incidents, the girl students had complained to a woman teacher regarding this but no strict action was taken by the school authorities against the two,” said Salim Ahmad, father of a victim girl.
When no action was taken by the school authorities, the victims then narrated the incident to their parents, after which their parents caught hold of the teachers and thrashed them in the school premises on Saturday.
Mukesh and Ashok were later handed over to police, but no complaint was lodged as the school authorities apologised to the victim girls and their parents for the molestation incident.
Meanwhile Balwinder Singh, Principle of GMSSS Dadumajra has assured the parents that strict action will be taken against the accused and the duo will be shifted to other school as soon as possible. Following the high drama, Chanchal Singh, UT Deputy Director, School Education, also reached the school premises and apologised to the parents and the victim girls for the molestation incident.
