The Gurgaon Deputy Commissioner Shekhar Vidyarthi has suspended two employees —Padam Singh and Kaptan Singh — for dereliction in election-related duties. Both employees were posted as clerks in DC Office Gurgaon.
Vidyarthi said that as after the announcement of lS elections, all the officers and employees were directed to take all election related duties seriously and both the employees did not take his word seriously as a result; they have been placed under suspension with immediate effect. Vidyarthi made it clear that all the officers and employees of Central and State Govt are at the disposal of the Election Commission after the announcement of elections till the election process is over and they are duty bound to perform election related duties assigned to them. If anybody does not comply with it, he or she can be taken to task and strict action can be taken against him.
