State Transport Department faced a total loss of around Rs 6 crore during this two-day strike across the State.
“Our 3,850 buses fleet caters to around eight States and daily cover 12 lakh kilometres. One bus earns Rs 25 for one kilometre in a day, hence, our whole fleet of 3,850 buses collects total receipts of Rs 3 crore in a day and during a two-day strike we lost Rs 6 crore”, said Abhe Singh Yadav, Director General, State Transport Department.
