Haryana Public Works (Building and Roads) and Public Health Engineering Minister, Rao Narbir Singh on Sunday said that Rs 1600 crore would be spent on construction and renovation of roads, which would begin after monsoon.
The Minister while speaking at a function in Gurgaon said that the Government was working to provide basic facilities like roads and drinking water.
He said that water being our basic need, we should not waste it and urged the people to ensure installation of taps on water connections and stop water wastage. If any tap is open and water is flowing out of it, that should be closed and other people should be made aware of it, said he.
Regarding development works in Gurgaon, he said that soon the construction work of underpass would start at three extremely busy crossings of Rajiv Chowk, Signature Tower and IFFCO Chowk. The construction of these would ease congestion of traffic, he added.
Rao Narbir Singh said that people of the state and the country have allowed BJP to form Government by giving full mandate and even the government is making efforts to carry out works beyond expectations of the people.
He said that Prime Minister, Narendra Modi starts his work by waking up early in the morning and continues to work till late evening. Similarly, Haryana Chief Minister, Manohar lal also has the same style of functioning, he added.
