Presiding over a review meeting of the Urban local Bodies Department here, the Chief Minister directed the officers to fix a quota for the mayors, deputy mayors and councillors from the next financial year.

He said with a view to making Swachchh Bharat Abhiyan a success, integrated solid waste management projects should be executed in the cities on a pilot project basis.

The Chief Minister said though a sum of `261 crore had been released by his predecessor from his discretionary funds to the urban local bodies, there are some areas where very little amount had been released.
