To sensitize and generate awareness among the masses for the protection and conservation of wildlife, nature and natural resources, UT Department of Forests and Wildlife, Chandigarh, on Sunday organized “Walk for Wildlife Trekking” during ongoing wildlife week. The Walk was flagged off by Advisor to UT Administrator Dharampal in the presence of UT Chief Conservator of Forests Debendra Dalai. Approximately 1000 people participated in the Trek which includes school children, and general public. Participants were divided into groups of around 100 people, with each group having one forest official and a group leader.
