Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Thursday said that digital panels displaying information about contribution of the state in the freedom struggle would be installed in all Mini Secretariats.

“Apart from Mini Secretariats, such digital information panels will also be installed in places having heavy footfall in Haryana so as to disseminate information to people about the freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for the nation,” the Chief Minister said while interacting with the mediapersons after inaugurating the ‘Digital Information Panel’ and a ‘Digital Exhibition on the contribution of Haryana to the freedom struggle’ as a part of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ at Haryana Civil Secretariat here.

He said that the state is moving forward while laying emphasis on ‘Digital Haryana’.

Khattar said that we are celebrating ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ on the occasion of 75 years of independence. Through the ‘Digital Information Panel’, people will get information about the stories of freedom struggle and valour, sacrifice of the freedom fighters so as to inspire people from these stories, he said.

The Chief Minister carefully noted the contribution of Haryana in the freedom struggle displayed in the exhibition. When the saga of bravery of Rohnat village of Bhiwani district was described, he said that before 2018, the people of Rohnat village did not celebrate the Independence Day. He then visited the village and inspired the people there to celebrate the Independence Day and on April 23, 2018, he hoisted the National Flag in the village. The people there were subjected to a lot of atrocities by the Britishers, he added.

Unending atrocities were committed on the people of this area for participating in the freedom struggle to the extent that women and children were also not spared.

Khattar said that on the lines of Digital India, the State Government has been successfully able to put in practice the concept of Digital Haryana.

Digital Haryana is our primary focus programme. The State Government’s IT Department is designing software for every Department under this so that people can get the benefit of services as soon as possible. Saral Antyodaya and Parivar Pehchan Patra are also examples of Digital Haryana. Revenue records are also being digitized. Now, only the e-file will be functional so that the work can be done within the stipulated time limit, he added.

Talking about Auto Appeal Software, the Chief Minister said that the State Government has launched 'AAS' (Auto Appeal Software) under Right to Service to fix the accountability of employees and officers.

He elaborated that 546 services which fall under the purview of Right to Service have been brought under it. If these services are not provided within the stipulated time, the application will go on appeal automatically. Explanation will be sought from the responsible employee and officer for not rendering the service on time, he added.
