Ten days after being sealed by the Delhi Government, steel pickling units have resumed normal operations in Wazirpur industrial area, blatantly violating the orders of National Green Tribunal (NGT) and Supreme Court of India. The team from All India Lokadhikar Sangathan, which inspected the Wazirpur industrial area in the night this week, found many steel pickling units operational. Moreover, most of the units have illegally restored electricity and water lines which were disconnected during the sealing drive by Delhi Government authorities. This amounts to theft of water and electricity.
