The prime objective of the expo is to make entrepreneurial and skilled India, transforming job seekers to job creators, creating AGRI-preneurs for rural transformation, empowering youth, women, OBC/ST/SC and entrepreneurs. This expo will play a vital role in opening the doors for start-ups and existing entrepreneurs to have access to new business proposals and ideas, new markets, easy finance, new technologies and service support for their revival and growth and ease of doing business in India.
Along with Jitendra Singh, present on the occasion were _ Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar , MSME Development Forum's Chairman Rajnish Goenka and Secretary MSME Anup K Pujari.
"It is India's first integrated platform for MSMEs and all the stake holders, particularly ministries, PSUs, banks and investors, corporates, service support providers, chambers, associations , would connect and network under one roof and share information and knowledge for mutual business endorsement and discovering solutions for their relevant challenges, " said Rajnish Goenka
Concurrent Summits will have five knowledge sessions with Union Ministers, Secretaries, bankers, corporates, policy makers and experts on different subjects covering various issues related to MSME sector and initiatives being taken by the Government for promotion of this vital sector which is the backbone of Indian economy.
“The MSME sector has 94 per cent tiny, micro and small units, most of which are not registered and, hence, are unable to take the benefits of various Government schemes and promotions. Approximately 1.5 crore youth (age group 18-25 years) enter the work force every year, compared to around 40 lakhs jobs per year, leaving a huge gap in demand and supply which can only be met by promotion of MSME sector,” Goenka said.
