Survey: Business travel may revive in 6 months, but Budget to decline

Published on:

Around 80 per cent of corporate industry leaders expect business travel to get back to pre-Covid levels in their organisation within 6 months, according to a survey by FabHotels.

A statement by FabHotels said that 58 per cent of the corporate chiefs expect budget per trip to reduce by 15 per cent or more.

“The survey found that 58 per cent of corporates expect reduction of 15 per cent or more in travel budget, 19 per cent expect a reduction of less than 15 per cent, while 24 per cent corporates expect travel budgets to remain same post the lockdown is lifted,” it said.

While one-third of respondents said they would not move employees to lower-tier hotels to save expenses, other two-thirds said they are expected to make this transition to reduce their travel budgets.
