The Signature Bridge, costing Rs1,131 crore and having a length of 675-m, is expected to be ready by September this year, according to a Press statement issued by the l-G’s office. Jung, who reviewed the project on Tuesday, expressed his displeasure at the delays that have occurred and directed the officials to order the agency concerned to expedite all the processes.

He also asked the Chief Secretary to hold an immediate meeting with the agency concerned to sort out the pending matters and to see that the project gets completed at the earliest. Jung was informed by the concerned officials that the entire steel fabrications of the deck and the pylon have been completed. Jung will review the project in a month’s time. Due to non-availability of a portion of the land, pending forest clearance from the Union Ministry of Environment and Forest, the project got delayed.
