Rajasthan is among those States in the country where right to information was initiated years ago and right to information wasprovided to its people through the act, said the Chief Miniser. This time also, the Jan Soochna Portal has been developed to further strengthen the right to information. Through the portalinformation relating to government departments, agencies, board, corporations, is being made available to the common man easily.
With the view to increase transparency, the list of the beneficiariesof different schemes of state government has been made availableon Jan Soochna Portal, he said.
Waiving off crop loan from cooperative banks was under thejurisdiction of the state government, so it fulfilled its promise in 48hrs only, but since the commercial banks, nationalized banks andregional rural banks comes under the administrative control of theMinistry of Finance, GoI, so the State Government has sent to theUnion Government, the one time settlement proposal for waivingoff the loans of the farmers. The Hon'ble CM has written letterstwice to the Prime Minister and one letter to Union FinanceMinister, whose reply is still awaited.
