Chinese handset maker OPPO on Tuesday said it has appointed Mike Wang as its new CEO for Indian operations. The appointment is effective from August 18, 2015. Wang joined OPPO in 2005 in its initial years and has held a wide range of leadership positions across South-East Asian markets, OPPO said in a statement. After an in-depth research for one year into South Asian market, Mike joined as the India CEO, it added. “I have good sight and perception of the business, its challenges and varied cultures. Indian mobile market is growing exponentially and is the top priority in our expansion plans for South Asia region this year,” Wang said.
