In view of providing additional healthcare facilities to the people of Delhi NCR, Northern Railway on demand of the State Govt. is providing 50 isolation coaches equivalent to 800 beds as Covid Care Centers at Shakurbasti. Shakurbasti station has good infrastructure for maintaining these coaches and also proper approach roads for movement of ambulances etc. Sh. Ashutosh Gangal, General Manager Northern Railways informed that 03 patients have been admitted at Shakurbasti Covid Care Center.
