Midea Group, a consumer appliance maker and a Fortune 500 Company, laid the foundation stone for the Technology Park at Supa Parner in Maharashtra. The Park will have manufacturing facilities for home appliances, HVAC and compressors.
The foundation stones were laid by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Midea Group founder Xiangjian He and Midea Group Chairman Paul Fang.
“The Technology Park is expected to generate employment opportunities for more than 2,000 people. The complex is likely to commence commercial operations at the beginning of 2020,” Carrier Midea India and Midea Group Managing Director Krishan Sachdev told The Pioneer.
The technology park will also attract investment from other ancillary units to supply to Midea’s factories.
