It is the only self-financing University in the entire Eastern India to enter into this ranking, which also features IITs and NITs in Odisha. A few well-known and old deemed universities from south India have found place in the report, while KIIT has got the same success with similar position.

Expressing happiness over the development, Prof. Achyuta Samanta, Founder, KIIT & KISS said, “This achievement has been possible due to the blessings of the Almighty coupled with the hard work and relentless efforts of the staff and students.” KIIT was started in a rented house with just Rs 5000. Now, it has a global recognition and is placed among the top 1001+ universities of the world. “I congratulate all the staff, student and well wishers and hope they would keep up the good work as sky is the limit”, he stated.
