Search engine Google has launched a map application that provides information on areas impacted by floods, relief centers and roads closed in rain-ravaged Uttrakhand.
"This crisis map is only an early version aimed at providing quick information, such as, places affected, relief centres and road closures," a blog post by Jayanth Mysore, Google APAC Senior Product Manager, said.
The search engine launched an application 'Person Finder' to offer information on missing people in flood-affected areas in the country, including Uttarakhand.
Google Person Finder is a web application that allows individuals to post and search for the status of relatives or friends affected by a disaster.
