Ford India on Friday slashed prices of EcoSport by up to Rs 1.12 lakh, two days after Maruti Suzuki launched its compact SUV Vitara Brezza with price starting at Rs 6.99 lakh. Applicable with immediate effect, the petrol variants of the Ford EcoSport will be available from Rs 6.68 lakh onwards and the diesel trims starting from Rs 7.28 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), Ford India said. The firm has cut the price of base variant of petrol option of the vehicle by over Rs 53,000 and is now priced at Rs 6.68 lakh, down from Rs 7.22 lakh earlier.
