The Covid-19 testing lab in Microbiology Department, Super Speciality Paediatric Hospital and Post graduate Teaching Institute, NOIDAwas formally inaugurated at 10 am on May 13 by CEO Greater NOIDA, Mr Narendra Bhushan.
The inauguration was done through remote video conferencing. Director of Child PGI, Dr DK Gupta, ICMR Scientist Dr Anup Kumar Anvikar, other Faculty and Microbiology staff of SSPH PGTI also participated in the video conference.
A brief presentation about the Covid testing facility was shared by Dr Sumi Nandwani, Prof and Head, Department of Microbiology.
The laboratory has been approved for Covid-19 testing by ICMR and as per recommendations of KGMU after remote assessment of the laboratory quality and facility.
External Quality Result Validation with National Institute of Biologicals, NOIDA was also done with control samples before commencement of the facility.
