In a bid to make India an easy place to do business, the Commerce and Industry Ministry has decided to bring all the central and state Government services under the umbrella of the e-Biz platform."We will also integrate all the state and central Government services so that there is one paper and one point of payment to make India an easy and simple place to do business," Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP) Secretary Amitabh Kant said here at the Tenth National Quality Conclave, organised by Quality Council of India (QCI).
The e-Biz portal provides one-stop clearance platform for the investment proposals. The move is aimed at improving India's ranking in the World Bank's ease of doing business report. India has been ranked 142 among the 189 countries. The Government is aiming to bring India into the top 50 ranks. The DIPP has already taken several initiatives in the last one year for improving ease of doing business in India through simplification and rationalisation of the existing rules and introduction of information technology to make governance more efficient and effective.
"We have created an e-Biz platform where we are integrating central and state services. Around 14 services of Government of India have been integrated so far," Kant said, adding that the manufacturing sector can create more jobs and boost economic growth in the country.  Speaking at the occasion, QCI Chief Adil Zainulbhai said that the council is working on programmes to improve the standard of goods and services of the MSME sector.
