Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has been awarded the CBIP Award 2019 for ‘Best Power Equipment Manufacturing Organisation’. The award was received by Atul Sobti, CMD, BHEL, from RK Singh, Union Minister of State (Independent charge) for New and Renewable Energy and Power, on CBIP Day. BHEL has been conferred with the award for its outstanding contribution towards nation building through manufacturing a wide range of equipment for the core sectors of the economy.

The NCC Republic Day (RD) Camp 2019 commenced at the Cariappa Parade Ground, Delhi Cantt on January 1, 2019. POWERGRID won the CBIP Award for ‘Best Performing Power Transmission Utility’. The award recognizes POWERGRID’s ‘Outstanding contribution to the Nation consistently by setting highest benchmarks in power transmission’.
The Company was also awarded ‘CBIP Special Jury Award for Innovation Excellence in Power Transmission’ for its pioneering role in development of 1200kV UHVAC transmission system.
