BHEL Commissions 120 MW Pulichintala HEP in t
With the commissioning of the fourth and final 30 MW hydro generating unit, Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has successfully commissioned the 120 MW Pulichintala Hydro-Electric Project (HEP) in Telangana. The other three units of the 4x30 MW Pulichintala HEP, commissioned earlier by BHEL, have been operating successfully. Located in Suryapet district of Telangana, the greenfield project has been set up for Telangana State Power Generation Corporation Limited (TSGENCO) on the river Krishna.
GAIL Gas signs MoU with EESL
GAIL Gas Limited, a subsidiary of GAIL (India) Limited, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL) for fast-tracking the implementation of co-generation and tri-generation projects and use of natural gas in industrial and commercial segments. The MoU was signed by AK Jana, Chief Executive Officer, GAIL Gas and Saurabh Kumar, Managing Director, EESL in the presence of Gajendra Singh, Director (Marketing), GAIL (India) Limited & Director, GAIL Gas and Rajeev Mathur, Director GAIL Gas at INSPIRE 2018 conference.
Karnataka Women Municipal Councilors visit NDMC
Aiming at the capacity building in respect of strengthening of the local democracy and citizen participation in the urban areas, especially for women empowerment, a delegation of Women Municipal Councilors from Karnataka visited New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) Head Quarter at Palika Kendra in New Delhi on Monday. The visit has been organized by Urban Research Centre, Bangalore.
Vigilance Awareness Week Observed in POWERGRID
‘Vigilance Awareness Week’ was observed in Powergrid from 29th October to 02 November 2018. The week started with administration of pledge to all the employees posted at RHQ, NR-I, & Telecom jointly by AK Arora, ED & by RK Arora, Chief GM, NR-1 respectively. All the employees participated enthusiastically in various programs, like, essay, online-quiz, debate, slogan writing competitions, Nukkar Natak & Walkathon conducted for “Vigilance & Anti-corruption”. A Vendors’ Meet was also organized at RHQ, NR-I.
NHPC celebrates 44th Raising Day
NHPC Limited, India’s premier hydropower company celebrated its 44th Raising Day on 12th November 2018 at its Corporate Office at Faridabad with great enthusiasm and fervor. RK Singh, Minister of State (Independent Charge), Power and New & Renewable Energy, Government of India graced the occasion as Chief Guest. In his address, Singh extended his warmest greeting to everyone present on the occasion of NHPC Raising Day.
