SAIL bags 15th National Award for Excellence
Steel Authority of India Ltd. (SAIL) has been awarded with the National Award for Excellence in Cost Management for first place in the category ‘Public - Manufacturing — Mega’ by The Institute of Cost Accountants of India. Union Minister of Railways Piyush Goyal presented the award to Chairman SAIL, Anil Kumar Chaudhary during the 15th National Awards for Excellence in Cost Management - 2017 event in New Delhi on 16th October, 2018. SAIL has been continually following the best cost management practices to improve physical and financial performance in the competitive environment. The award has been decided by Jury of eminent personalities.
SAIL India’s first steel maker to roll NPB - 750
Continuing its efforts to strengthen country’s infrastructure and provide cost effective solutions to construction sector,Steel Authority of India Ltd. (SAIL) has become the first domestic steel maker to successfully roll NPB-750 (NPP-750) Narrow Parallel Flange Beams. The depth of NPB-750 will be 750 millimetre with three different sectional weights as per the standards of BIS. NPB-750 has been successfully rolled by the new and state-of-the-art Universal Structural Mill (USM) of SAIL’s IISCO Steel Plant.
Chinese delegation meet ndmc chairman
A delegation led by Han Dongtai, Chairperson of Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference met New Delhi Municipal Council Chairman, Naresh Kumar at NDMC Headquarter on Monday.
NDMC Chairperson and his counterpart Han Dongtai had deliberated to enhance the cooperation and friendly relationship between New Delhi Municipal Council and Shenyang Municipal Committee.
