Bharat Forge limited (BFl), the flagship company of the $2.5 billion Kalyani Group, on Friday was awarded Rail Business - Product of the Year Award-2014 for the significant progress the company has made in design and implementation. The award was present by Arunendra Kumar, Chairman of the Railway Board. On behalf of BFl, VK Jain, company's Advisor, received the award.
BFl has been supplying critical engine components such as large crankshafts and connecting rods to the railway industry globally and is the only crankshaft manufacturer in the country. The company also has been providing indigenous technologically critical components to the Indian Railways.
