September has been a rollercoaster ride for the stock markets. While in the first half of the month, Sensex rallied by over 2,400 points but wasn't able to sustain above 20,000 mark. Going forward all experts expect the markets to correct further due to the lack of positive factors.

Talking to The Pioneer, the market analysts stressed that people should avoid short term trading in the current markets and should focus only on investments with a broad horizon. Vivek Negi from Finethic Wealth Services said, "We have an extremely negative outlook towards markets and expect it to fall further. Investors should completely refrain from buying anything for short term. Rather, they can invest after stock markets fall. Investments can be done in those companies which payout heavy dividends. "

Escorts Security's Ashok Agarwal is also expecting the markets to fall. He feels that the market situation would take atleast one quarter to improve. He said, "We are expecting the stock markets to stabalise and situation to improve till December. " While giving trading advice, he added, "Investors should be stock specific and should buy on dips. Buying can be initiated in infrastructure, capital goods, power, cement and auto ancillary shares but should invest for a time period of a year atleast."

Jagdish Thakkar from fortune Fiscal also holds the view that stocks markets would start the week with a fall which can extend further. He added, "The stock market environment is not conducive for fresh buying and investors should avoid short term trades. While they should be cautious for the near future, the long term view is still positive but investors should buy fundamentally strong shares only after they correct sharply."

While most experts are extremely negative about Indian markets, Kunal Saraogi from Equity Trendz is expecting a small fall in the indices. He said, "We are expecting the markets to fall a little. It's best for investors to stay away from banking sector. long term investments in multinational companies along with pharmaceutical and information technology shares look good."
