ESI awareness scheme for contract workers
Odisha State ESI Insured Association and Nalco Employees Forum, jointly organised an awareness programme for the contract workers to make aware the various provisions under Employees State Insurance (ESI). The programme was organised at the Nalco Mahanadi Nivas Auditorium, here at Bhubaneswar, on Monday. Gracing the inaugural ceremony as the chief guest, Dr Tapan Kumar Chand, CMD, NAlCO, released an awareness booklet in the presence of several officials.
S Balakrishanan appointed as bhel Director
On his appointment as Director on the Board of Bharat Heavy Electricals limited (BHEl), S Balakrishanan, 57, has assumed charge as Director (Industrial Systems & Products) of the Public Sector Engineering and Manufacturing Enterprise. Prior to this, as Executive Director, he was heading the Heavy Power Equipment Plant (HPEP), Ramachandrapuram — one of the major units of BHEl at Hyderabad. Earlier he was heading the company’s Industrial Products (Electrical & Mechanical) business at Industry Sector, Delhi, as General Manager in-charge.
Swachchhta Pakhwada in POWERGRID’s N Region-I
As part of Government of India’s “Swachchh Bharat Abhiyaan”, to promote cleanliness and create awareness among the citizen about health and hygiene “Swachchhta Pakhwada” was organised from May 16 to 31 in POWERGRID’s Northern Region- I Head Quarter, Katwaria Sarai, New Delhi and in all the Sub-stations & establishments across the region. During this Pakhwada the employees taken pledge to keep their work place and surroundings neat & clean and participated in cleanliness drive. A Swatchhta Awareness Campaign was conducted at the NDMS Primary School, Katwaria Sarai to sensitise the young generation about importance of cleanliness and hygiene.
IGl SIGNS MOU WITH PETRONET lNG
In a step towards achieving the Government’s vision of developing India into a gas based economy, Indraprastha Gas limited (IGl), the largest CNG distribution company of India, yesterday entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Petronet lNG ltd. (Pll), one of the fastest growing energy company in liquefied Natural Gas (lNG) chain, for setting up of lNG infrastructure in India & abroad apart from working out the possibilities of bidding jointly in upcoming GA’s proposed by PNGRB.
