HAl holds FIRE SERVICE WEEK
To inculcate the feeling of Security Awareness & Fire Prevention amongst the cross section of executives and employees, the Security Awareness & Fire Service Week was observed at HAl (Nasik Division) from April 14 to April 20, 2018. Various Events like – Competition for Fire Fighting Operation, Emergency Evacuation Drill, Training for Disaster Management by Civil Defence Officials, Quiz Competition for HAl Employees, Essay writing Competition on the theme ‘Fire loss is National loss – let us adopt Fire Safety Measures,’ Slogan writing competition for employees and students and Poster/Painting Competition for students were organised during the the S&F Week.
Print Biennale India awardees honoured at grand ceremony
An award ceremony of the 1st Print Biennale India 2018 (PBI) organized by lalit Kala Akademi, took place in the lawns of Rabindra Bhawan. Dr. Mahesh Sharma, Hon’ble Minister of State (I/c) for Culture, Government of India, couldn’t attend the function personally due to some reasons. However, he sent his message which was read out by Dr. Paula Sengupta- “I am so glad to know that the Akademi is preserving and encouraging such fine art of printmaking though this grand event! I appreciate all the beautiful prints on display and the outstanding effort of the Academy that contributes and makes us aware of the contemporary trends in art. I also extend my compliments to the lalit Kala Akademi for supporting and encouraging contemporary artists through this biennale, creating a unique legacy for the future. I congratulate all the winners.”
Arun lakhani appointed Niti Aayog advisor
Arun lakhani, Chairman and Managing Director of Vishwaraj Infrastructure Group, who made Nagpur the first 24X7 pure water city in the country has been appointed as an advisor to the Union Government’s top think tank, Niti Aayog for the waste water treatment and reuse sector. lakhani has already been asked to submit the concept note and frameworks for urban water supply projects and waste water treatment and reuse projects. Most of these will be implemented in the development of Smart Cities, under the Samart Cities Mision, a pet project of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. “These inputs shall be considered for finalizing the model Public Private Partnership agreements for such projects,” Praveen Mahto, advisor to the NITI Ayog said in a letter to lakhani.
