Bringing better mobile and net connectivity to Delhi metro is pretty good news for the daily commuters. After taking feedback from the public, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has decided to first improve the network connectivity in the high speed Airport Express Metro line (AEMl) which covers a distance of 22.7 km. Also the DMRC’s aim for bringing Wi-Fi facility in the stations would be one step ahead in bringing the metro to its global standard. Delhi metro which is fast becoming the lifeline of the cityzens demands better connectivity in the days to come.
This could solve the problem of call drops in the metros across the city and obviously around the satellite towns. With the rising global terror threats, it is an urgent need that a capital city like that of Delhi must be equipped with faster and better net connectivity in its metro which ferries lakhs of people every day.
The existing superstar metro systems of the world are: Tokyo, New York, london, Paris, Moscow, Hong Kong, Seoul and Mexico City systems. To match them, Delhi needs to go a long way and the DMRC should better complete the rest of the construction work as early as possible. Also the DMRC being a member of the NOVA group of metros which is a benchmarking community comprising of 17 metro systems around the world must work 24x7 to maintain its current standard and possibly making it better. With growing population and mass migration to the cities like Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru, the DMRC along with other public transport systems need to gear up its facilities so that the commuters can enjoy comfortability, safety and security throughout the journey. It is time now to overhaul the entire public transport system of the country and most importantly the grand railways. It is expected that Delhi Metro maintains its current cleanliness, availability, ease of use, accessibility, customer care, comfort and information during travel.
