The Congress on Friday demanded a probe by a court- monitored Special Investigation Team (SIT) into the death of Puri Zilla Parishad Member Dharmendra Sahoo to reveal the truth.
Congress Media Cell chairman Ganeswar Behera said, “The State Government is scared of brining the truth to the fore. Though the viral audio clips confirmed the involvement of Education Minister Samir Dash in the case, he is yet to be brought under the purview of the investigation.”
Further, Behera demanded resignation of the Minister for an impartial probe into the incident and so that he would not be able to tamper with the evidence.
He said if the Government does not pay heed to the demands and efforts are made to shield the accused and the real culprits are not identified, the Congress would intensify its agitation.
