If you want to order food from Zomato, the supply to you may get delayed as the Zomato riders are on strike in the city since Friday.
The union of Zomato riders staged a demonstration at Lower PMG against the revised payout by the online food services firm.
“We had joined Zomato on a promise of getting a higher payout. Even after the firm has grown stronger, it has been repeatedly reducing our payout. When we approached the higher authorities in this regard, we were disappointed. They asked us to stay with Zomato or else switch to any other company,” the Zomato Riders’ Union said in a statement.
The employees demanded a payout of Rs 35 payout, no future revision in payout and compensation to them for the loss of income incurred during the ongoing strike.
