A group of youths from Sambalpur town have strongly protested the poor renovation work of the Tangnanalla that discharges major quantity of the rain water from the city to the Mahanadi and protect the residents from flood.
It is a Rs 83-crore project being done by the Water Resources Department. They alleged that the contractor in connivance with the department is doing very poor quality work to make a quick buck.
When the work of the side wall was going on in the Kumbharpada area of the city, the people saw the poor quality work and protested vehemently.
