The bodies of two youths, who had been drowned in the IB River on Sunday, were recovered near Panchapara on Monday morning.
The deceased were identified as Ayush Behera (17), resident of Beheramal and Pravej Hussain (17) of Bijunagar of Jharsuguda.
As per the sources, the duo along with friends had gone for taking bath near the Panchpara area on Sunday and while they were taking bath the two youths had slipped inside the river and were drowned. Two other friends, who had accompanied them, had left the place without informing the incident in fear.
When the duo did not return their home till evening, the family members had reported this matter to police. later on Monday morning, their bodies were spotted by the villagers of Panchpara. Jharsuguda police, on being informed, rushed to the spot and sent the bodies for post mortem.
The bodies were later handed over to the family members, said IIC Kirasagar Naik. A case has been registered at the Jharsuguda Town Police Station.
