A youth was detained by police after he allegedly set the Rengali Tehsil office in Sambalpur district on fire on Friday and later uploaded the video of the incident on social media.
Though no loss of life or injury was reported, the office furniture and documents were reduced to ashes in the fire. On receiving information, a Fire Brigade team rushed to the spot and doused the flames. The Rengali police detained the accused identified as Rajeev Kishan for interrogation after the video showing him igniting the fire went viral on social media. During interrogation, the youth confessed that he had torched the office and uploaded the video on social media. However, the motive behind the incident was yet to be ascertained.
