In an incident of kangaroo court justice, a youth was thrashed and forced to kneel down for an alleged theft at the Balasore railway station on Saturday morning.
The incident took place at 5 am in the premises of the railway station, where the youth was caught by a group of people on the suspicion of stealing a bag from a person.
Instead of handing him over to the police, the accused was beaten up by the complainant and was forced to crawl on the road.
Shockingly, the crowd in the premises was watching the humiliation meted out to the youth with none of them interfering and trying to prevent it. Till filing of the report, no police complaint in this connection has been lodged.
