The town police arrested a youth while he was moving suspiciously with a mouser here on Sunday.
Rajendra Mishra (22), a resident of Somanath Nagar 2nd line, while loitering suspiciously with a mouser in the town was arrested by the patrolling police.
On interrogation, the accused could not provide satisfactory answer and failed to submit the relevant
documents such as licence pertaining to the mouser to the police which resulted in his arrest.
During the interrogation by the police, the accused also revealed that the mouser did not belong to him and he got it from one of his friends, Bapi, who was also arrested. The police registered a case and forwarded both the accused to court.
On verification, it was found that the mouser had no bullet in it.
Hence, the police suspect that the accused might have been using the mouser to terrorise someone to settle scores or achieve the preordained interests.
