The Commissionerate police on Friday arrested a youth on the charge of sexually harassing a girl on pretext of providing her roles in films.
The arrestee was identified as JD Rout.
Rout, claiming himself to be a Mumbai-based assistant producer, lured the girl to perform obscene photo shoots for him on the guise of providing her roles in television serials and movies.
He even claimed to have a film institute at Saheed Nagar of Bhubaneswar.
The matter came to light after the girl lodged a complaint with the Saheed Nagar police alleging blackmail by the youth.
Later after investigation, a team of the Saheed Nagar police arrested the youth from the Saheed Nagar area.
