The Mahulapada police on Tuesday arrested a 30-year-old youth on the charge of killing his father in Sasa village under Bonei subdivision in Sundargarh district.
According to police sources, Budhu Mundari (70) used to beat his son Karamsingh(30) in inebriated conditions. But on Sunday evening, when Budhu was attempting to beat him, Karamsingh picked up a stick and hit on his right side ear, killing him on the spot.
Since their village is in forest and hilly area, the police could not get any clue about Budhu’s killing soon. Informed by the village guard, the cops went to the village and seized the decomposed body and arrested Karamsingh. The accused would be forwarded to court on Wednesday, said Mahulpada OIC A Gardia.
