A youth was arrested by the Dhauli police on the city outskirts for attacking his father at Tikarpada village on Sunday evening. The arrestee identified as Surendra Kumar Swain (28) was later produced before a court on Monday. He was later sent to the Jharpada Special Jail after his bail plea was rejected by the court. Sources said Surendra had a heated argument with his father Bhaskar over some matter. In a fit of rage, he stabbed his father with a kitchen knife leaving him injured.
Later, Surendra’s elder brother Rabindra lodged a complaint in the Dhauli police station, following which cops arrested Surendra and forwarded him to court.
