The Pattamundai police on Friday arrested Sanjay Kunda, a resident of Kajalbandha, on the charges of appealing love to a newly-wed woman and disturbing her since last couple of months.
Kunda, who works in Qatar, came in contact with the woman of Chandapura village and got her phone number through a social network site. Kunda started appealing his love to her over both internet and phone calls.
Surprisingly, when Kunda shared the matter with his childhood friend Prasanna (name changed), the latter came out to be the husband of the woman. Prasanna telephoned to his wife and got to know that it was one-side love and Kunda used to disturb her most of the time.
later, the woman lodged a compliant against Kunda, following which a case was registered against him at the Pattamundai police station on Wednesday. Police arrested the accused and produced him before the JMFC court. The court rejected his bail plea and forwarded him to jail custody, said Pattamundai PS IIC Baruni Das.
