A youth, Samal Munda (20), a resident under the Joda police station in Keonjhar district, died when lightning struck him on Saturday.
Munda had gone to take bath in river Baitarani, and while he was returning home lightning struck him, fire brigade sources said.
Fire brigade personnel reached the spot and rushed him to a local hospital where he was declared brought dead.
