A youth was found dead under mysterious circumstances at Korada village under the Nuagaon police station in the district on Tuesday. The deceased was identified as Jitu Manaha of the village.
Sources said some locals first spotted the body on the premises of Trinath temple on roadside of the Khordha-Balangir National Highway-57 in the morning and called up police.
Later, cops reached the spot and questioned the family members.
Though the exact reason behind the death is yet to be ascertained, his family members alleged that some miscreants have killed Jitu by hitting his head with a stone following an argument.
