A young man was found dead in the premises of the Gurdwara Singh Sabha here on Thursday.
According to reports, the deceased was identified as the Gurdwara office boy named Subhash Nayak, a resident of Section-III, Harijan Basti of the Kanjia Huda area in the city.
Police reached the spot on being informed and recovered Nayak’s body. A probe into the case was initiated.
Alleging it to be a case of murder, irate locals ransacked the Gurdwara, following which police forces were deployed on the spot to avoid any further untoward incident.
