Youth Congress' Garjan Samavesh deferred again

In what can be termed as a sheer misunderstanding between the PCC and its youth wing, the scheduled February 2 Yuva Garjan Samavesh has been postponed once again by the PCC leadership.

The PCC leadership on Sunday denied the youth wing to hold the Samavesh taking the plea that the Congress High Command has asked to observe 10th MGNREGA Divas on February 2.

A decision to this effect was taken after a couple of meetings between Youth Congress functionaries and PCC president Prasad Harichandan held on the day, according to sources.

The Congress will run a nationwide campaign from February 2 against the dilution of the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS) completing 10 years on February 2, party sources added.

Notably, the State Youth Congress had declared to organize ‘Yuva Garjan Samabesh’ to expose the ‘failures’ of the State Government on all fronts.

The party youth leaders were agog to hold the Samavesh, what they claimed that it could have given a big boost for the state’s youth Congress in coming days.

The denial has discouraged the youth wing leaders as the Samavesh had been deferred earlier too, according to some senior leaders.
