High drama unfolded at the Brahmapur railway station on Wednesday morning as a youth climbed on an electric tower and threatened of committing suicide.
Some passengers spotted the youth over the tower and informed railway officials, who disconnected power supply in a bid to save him from coming in contact with the high-tension wires.
Movement of several trains through the station got paralysed for around two hours due to the incident.
later, normalcy returned as the youth, reportedly hailing from Assam and a mentally unstable person, was rescued by Fire Services personnel. He would be sent for medical examination for verification of his mental condition, an official said.
