The Youth for Equality, Odisha team will stage a dharna at the lower PMG here on Sunday to demand bringing an end to the caste-based reservation in every field, including admission, selection, election, promotion, etc.
“When Jats, Patels, Gujjars are asking to include them in backward list along with so many castes are volunteering to be called as backward, the issue is getting more sensitive. Simultaneously, the demand to abolish the quota system is also growing,” said chief coordinator of the Youth for Equality, Odisha Dinabandhu Sarangi, who also urged everyone to join the dharna to make it successful.
