A youth, who had been assaulted by two girls at the Buddha Park in Chandrasekharpur here, the video of which went viral after being posted on the social media, on Tuesday filed a case in the SDJM Court here demanding investigation into the incident to unearth the truth.
The youth alleged that the girls in the video were blackmailing him for money; and one of them was forcing him to marry even after knowing that he was married.
“I had a love affair with one of the girls seen in the video. Though I had told her several times that I have applied for divorce for my first marriage and the matter is sub-judice and I could only marry her after divorce, she kept blackmailing me,” said the man.
“She has fleeced money, mobile phones, jewellery and watches from me over the past one year during our relationship,” he alleged. He also alleged that the girls intentionally assaulted him after conspiring to blackmail him and then shared the video on social media.
The man has already attempted suicide twice, claimed his lawyer Bana Bihari Mohanty. The lawwyer also said that the video is the evidence against the girls; and the people who shared the video on social media should first be brought to book.
