A youth was arrested on Thursday for his alleged misbehaviour with a Class-VII girl student in Dhanmandal village under the Barchana police station in the district.
The accused was identified as Ramachandra Nayak (25), a resident of Dhanmandal.
Ramachandra allegedly misbehaved with the girl student of the Dhanmandal Nodal High School when she was going to school on Monday. Later, the victim informed the school authorities regarding the incident and later her family members lodged a complaint with the Barchana police on Tuesday.
The cops arrested the accused based on the complaint and forwarded him to court. The incident has sparked tension in the village.
