On the occasion of Kartik Purnima, the Youth for Seva (YFS) conducted a cleanness drive ‘Swachha Bindusagar Abhiyan’ at the Bindusagar lake here on Tuesday.
Every year, large numbers of devotees gather at Bindusagar to pay prayer and float artificial boats as a part of ritual. But due to the use of non-biodegradable materials in the boats it causes huge environmental lose. As every year, the YFS team conducted cleanness drive and remove the debris from the lake by which it can be saved from being polluted. Nearly 60 volunteers gathered at the place and executed the cleanness drive. The programme was coordinated by Subrat Kumar Patnaik and Sangram Patra.
