Following the collapse of chit fund companies, the incidents of suicide among the duped investors are on the increase with the latest victim having ended his life by hanging himself on Sunday.
Deceased Parsuram Das (33) of village Jhankhrai under the Baleswar Sadar police station was under depression for quite some days, according to family sources.
In another incident, one Tapan Nayak (25) of village Bansi in the Singla area under the Basta police station died after he accidently came in contact with a charged earth line for domestic electricity supply.
