As part of their academic curriculum, about 40 international students of the 3 Continental Master of Global Management (3C-MGM) Programme of the XIMB on Thursday visited India’s first venture capitalist funded food brand Milk Mantra’s milk processing plant at Gop in Puri district.

The students visited the plant in two groups under the supervision of XIMB Programme Coordinator Chandrasekhar Rao to get an understanding of two major areas of operations like milk processing to learn the plant operations and bulk milk cooler (BMC) to see the milk collection operations and interact with farmers. Milk Mantra chief manufacturing officer Biswajeet Acharya and sourcing manager Soumyajeet Mohapatra addressed the students regarding plant operation and BMC operation, respectively. The students were also briefed about the successful supply chain management.

“Impressed by the Milk Mantra’s successful model of supply chain management and keeping in mind the day-to-day operational challenges of an industry like this, we decided to provide our students the exposure to milk processing industry,” said Rao of the XIMB.  Company MD and CEO Srikumar Misra wished the students for their future endeavour.
